Dr. Jyoti Sharma comes with a diverse experience in Hindi Literature and her creativity has been a motivating factor to expand the reach of the literary works of eminent creators to the general masses in the simplest of terms. As a Subject Expert on “Dr. Ram Vilas Sharma and his critics world”, she delivered a lecture at the National Seminar ’14 by Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, while, presenting a research paper on “Media: Pros and Cons” at the 2013 International symposium on Language, Linguistics, Literature and Education in Okasa, Japan.
She has authored more than a dozen research papers, including Dalit sahitya, Hindi ki Janta, Janta ki Hindi, Soor kavya, amongst others. Conferred with “the winning poet” at the Hasya Kavi Sammelan, she has been decorated several times in her academic life for her achievements. These achievements have earned her many invites to several National and International Conferences organised by UGC, India. She has been Published on half a dozen Titles and translated around 47 books on Enlish-Hindi & vice-versa as well as Hindi-Punjabi & vice-versa. Apart from her established academic life, she has also been responsible for many cultural events back home in India. As a result, she has earned high references from eminent and well known professors for her achievements.
She personally admires the initiatives by CISCA to bridge the gap between the general masses to come together and learn accomplished work-of-art in Hindi literature as well as get a glimpse of the diversified and colourful Indian culture.
Prastuti Priya was research trainee at the South Asian study branch and trainee at CISCA. She holds a B.A degree from Banaras Hindu University, a MA in Hindi from Mahatama gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, and a B.Ed form Mahatama gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. She has furthermore been qualified for NET (National eligibility test)in Hindi.
Before coming to Aarhus University she used to work at Nirman as a kindergarten teacher (2007-09). In 2009 she shifted to a different position called HINDI TEACHER FOR NON HINDI SPEAKERS. At the same time she also had the post as associate manager for C.P.E (center for post colonial education). In May 2011 under a US-Exchange programme she went to Kalamazoo college in order to observe the language classes being taught there. During her stay, she taught the conversation classes for the South Asian students at Aarhus University.
Shivani Dalal joined the South Asian studies at Aarhus University in the spring semester of 2013. At the South Asian Studies programme she joined the teaching staff as a Research Trainee to teach Hindi to the students at the department.
Before joining South Asian Studies and Aarhus University, Shivani Dalal had taught as a Contract Teacher for one year at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalya Govt. School in Mahipalpur, New Delhi. Shivani holds a BA and MA in Sanskrit from Sri Venkateshwara College (affiliated with Delhi University and a B.ed. in Sanskrit from Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth (LBSRSV), New Delhi. Besides that, she received honours in Sanskrit and recitation and from 2008 to 2009 she received the Sri Narayana Ayyar, Parvathi Memorial and Bharatula Savitri Memorial prices.
Shivani also helped to run the film club for the South Asian Studies students, which was initiated in the 2011 spring by our our Trainee, Mrs. Aparna Pandey, along with guest faculties Nirmal Kumar and Chandermohan Rawat and continued by Priyanka Dalal.
Lastly, Shivani took over the position as Research Trainee at South Asian Studies from her sister, Priyanka Dalal.
Helle Jørgensen is an anthropologist and holds a PhD degree from the Department of History and Area Studies, AU. Her primary research interest is heritage in a postcolonial context, and she has, amongst other things, done fieldwork in the former Danish trading colony Tranquebar in Tamil Nadu. She has taught in a range of disciplines, including history,South Asian studies, anthropology, museology and experience economy.
Priyanka Dalal joined Aarhus University and CISCA at the end of the spring semester in 2012. At the South Asian Studies programme, Aarhus University, she joined the teaching staff as a Research Trainee to teach Hindi to the students at the department. Before joining South Asian Studies and Aarhus University, Priyanka Dalal taught as a guest teacher for one year at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalya Govt. School in Janakpuri, New Delhi.
Priyanka holds a BA and MA in Sanskrit from Sri Venkateshwara College (affiliated with Delhi University). Besides that, she has received many honours in Sanskrit and recitation and from 2007 to 2008 she received the Sri Narayana Ayyar, Parvathi Memorial and Bharatula Savitri Memorial prices for securing the highest marks in 3 years during college.

Aleksandra Machura was a CISCA intern at Aarhus University from August 1st to September 30th. 22 years old, a third-year student of International Relations at Tischner European University in Cracow, Poland. Her two speciali zations are: 'International Security' and 'Asia and the Middle East'.
Prior to becoming a CISCA intern, she has been in Aarhus on an ERASMUS exchange programme in 2010, where her main department was Political Science. There she had two courses: 'Globalization' and International 'Political Economy: The European Union's Policies towards and Performance' in Multilateral Institu tions'. At the department of History and Area Studies she did a course on 'IDeas of Europe in European History'. Aleksandra Machura has, among other things, also spent time in the European Parliament in Brussels, where she in the summer months of 2010 was a Trainee, participating in debates, conferences, assisted in organizaing contests about piracy and plagiarism, besides mentoring
for foreign visitors.
During her internship at CISCA, Aleksandra Machura undertook a project in collaboration with Indians In Aarhus. The project was set up to present and analyze the life of Indians in Denmark and was developed on the basis of questions given to and answered by Indians living in Denmark. The project aim, one of many, was to find out why Indians choose to come to Denmark as a country of destination instead of other members of the European Union and what factors influenced their decision to come to

Aparna Panday is a teacher at LPA Senior Secondary Girls School, Anaz Mandi, Shahdara in Delhi. She is teaching as a Post Graduate Teacher of History for Grads XI and XII in a Delhi State-run Girls' school; Medium of teaching - Hindi for last five years. Prior to that, Mrs Panday was teaching Social Studies and History to Intermediate level (Senior Secondary Grade XI and XII in India Schools.
She has a Bachelor's in History (Hindi Medium) plus additional subjects like Hindi, English and Sociology, as well as a Master's Degree (Hindi Medium), both from Bihar University, Muzzaffarpur. She also has a Bachelor's Degree of Education - a one-year certificate degree for teaching in Indian
schools from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana.
At Aarhus University Aparna Panday will teach conversational classes to improve oral skills of the South Asian Studies students - with a special focus on everyday- and youth language. She will also arrange a film club.
